SadAnother well written account by Cathy Glass。 It feels after reading all her books that the reader knows her family well。 The ending of this book was a personal sadness for Cathy。 I look forward to her next book。

Another great book from Cathy Glass。 Her memoirs at times can be heartbreaking, but also inspiring。 She is an amazing woman with a big heart。 I always look forward to her books, yet i finish them so quickly。 Will be looking forward to her next one which i think comes out in September。

Another very captivating read。Good to be able to follow up Tilly's story here。 And having read quite many of Cathy's books, I became quite familiar with her family, and thus very saddened by the ending。 Another very captivating read。Good to be able to follow up Tilly's story here。 And having read quite many of Cathy's books, I became quite familiar with her family, and thus very saddened by the ending。 。。。more

☆5 Stars☆NOTES & THOUGHTS• I originally throght this was not one of Cathy Glass's books - I was proved wrong by the end。 • A great development in both Jackson's & Tilly's stories。• Shocking in multiple places, including one part about Jackson's siblings。• I want to know what happens from here!I LOVED• That this book starts from the end of A Terrible Secret。• That the book was full of twists。 • The great development - both in the storyline and in the "characters" (mainly Tilly's & Jackson's)。 ☆5 Stars☆NOTES & THOUGHTS• I originally throght this was not one of Cathy Glass's books - I was proved wrong by the end。 • A great development in both Jackson's & Tilly's stories。• Shocking in multiple places, including one part about Jackson's siblings。• I want to know what happens from here!I LOVED• That this book starts from the end of A Terrible Secret。• That the book was full of twists。 • The great development - both in the storyline and in the "characters" (mainly Tilly's & Jackson's)。 。。。more

Another excellent book from a fabulous author。 Cathy is just such a lovely person and you can feel that she has the children's best interest at heart。But the ending just broke me。 I'm so so sorry for your loss and can't imagine the pain you went through, she seemed like an amazing person。 Another excellent book from a fabulous author。 Cathy is just such a lovely person and you can feel that she has the children's best interest at heart。But the ending just broke me。 I'm so so sorry for your loss and can't imagine the pain you went through, she seemed like an amazing person。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book I love Cathy Glass books but this one was particularly good as it shows the true trials and tribulations of a foster carer。 I felt like I was pulling my hair out never mind Cathy。 It was just one wild ride from this to that to the other。 I really wanted to read this one especially because in her last book her daughter Lucy had given birth to Cathy's grand daughter。 There was a lot of sad parts in this that made me think how lucky we are to have the things we have。 I hi I really enjoyed this book I love Cathy Glass books but this one was particularly good as it shows the true trials and tribulations of a foster carer。 I felt like I was pulling my hair out never mind Cathy。 It was just one wild ride from this to that to the other。 I really wanted to read this one especially because in her last book her daughter Lucy had given birth to Cathy's grand daughter。 There was a lot of sad parts in this that made me think how lucky we are to have the things we have。 I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs reminding that they are doing there best。trigger warning for suicide。 。。。more

Back to her amazing self。 Cathy Glass back to her best, less like a how to guide than the last couple, but with just the right amount of info to understand the huge commitment that a carer gives to things other than what they really love which is caring。 Read it in one sitting, glad to have read it but sad that it's over。 Back to her amazing self。 Cathy Glass back to her best, less like a how to guide than the last couple, but with just the right amount of info to understand the huge commitment that a carer gives to things other than what they really love which is caring。 Read it in one sitting, glad to have read it but sad that it's over。 。。。more

Yes loved this one too!So much to learn from, and brilliant care given。Jackson age 10 goes to stay with Cathy (foster carer) under section 20 voluntarily by his mum。 The help given to families in this book (non fiction) is so wonderful to read and neither situation is straightforward。 I love how these books are written with such emotion and honesty too。

An amazing book, as always。 Cathy once again invites us inside her home and life and the lives of her children and those she cares for。 Cathy has a way of breaking down life in the foster care world and also a way of showing us how to uplift, care for and live alongside many people (big and small) from many different walks of life。 I was okay until then end and spend a long time crying for all。 Much love to you <3

I wasn't ready for that level of emotion from one book!Cathy Glass is one is my favourite authors and I've come to expect a few tears while reading her heartbreaking books, but this hit me harder than the others。When Jackson arrives with Cathy, he's a disruptive child who's mother cannot cope with his behaviour。 Having lost his father and then his older brother, Jackson has a lot of confusion and anger that he doesn't know what to do with。 He also has a secret。Jackson's story is one full of twis I wasn't ready for that level of emotion from one book!Cathy Glass is one is my favourite authors and I've come to expect a few tears while reading her heartbreaking books, but this hit me harder than the others。When Jackson arrives with Cathy, he's a disruptive child who's mother cannot cope with his behaviour。 Having lost his father and then his older brother, Jackson has a lot of confusion and anger that he doesn't know what to do with。 He also has a secret。Jackson's story is one full of twists and turns and sadness。 As always, Cathy does her very best to comfort her Foster child and to encourage him to speak openly about what's bothering him, which he eventually does。 This leads to more trauma for Jackson's family and sets off a series of events which are incredibly difficult for them to overcome。This book is beautifully written and one you won't be able to put down。 I love all of Cathy's books and am always grateful for a happy ending but this one was so very bittersweet。 I'm not ashamed to say that I sobbed throughout this book, especially towards the end。An excellent read for anyone who loves true stories, and for fans of Casey Watson's books。 Have the tissues at the ready! 。。。more
